Borovets, nestled in the Rila Mountains, is Bulgaria's oldest and one of its most beloved ski resorts. Established in 1896, this picturesque destination blends historical charm with modern amenities, making it a popular choice for skiers of all levels. Located just 70 kilometers from Sofia, the resort is easily accessible and perfect for weekend getaways or extended vacations.

Borovets boasts 58 kilometers of ski runs spread across three main ski areas: Sitnyakovo, Yastrebets, and Markudjik. The slopes cater to a wide range of abilities, from gentle nursery slopes for beginners to challenging black runs for advanced skiers. Yastrebets, in particular, is renowned for its well-groomed pistes and hosts international ski competitions.
